After nearly 25 years running a roofing company with his brother Dan, Bill Keith left to develop the SunRise Solar-Powered Attic Fan. As a roofer, Keith understood the importance of proper attic ventilation, and he wanted to offer an alternative to traditional electric attic exhaust fans. His answer….the SunRise Solar-Powered Attic Fan.

Mr. Keith’s success and determination has drawn national media coverage, and has attracted the attention of the White House. Bill Keith was invited twice by the White House to attend President Obama’s meetings in Indiana. He was a featured guest at VP Biden’s Middle Class Task Force Summit in Philadelphia in March 2009, where SunRise Solar was recognized for its efforts to promote clean energy and green jobs. Mr. Keith spoke along side EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson on her visit to Indiana in August 2009. Most recently Bill Keith attended meetings with Secretary Chu and others at the White House to discuss long-term energy and climate legislation. Keith also serves on a committee with the US Chamber’s Global Intellectual Property Center in Washington, DC where he represents small business.

The Environmental Defense Fund in Washington did a complete study of Bill Keith’s company in 2009. Mr. Keith also worked with Indiana state legislators to offer a tax deduction for solar fans – the bill passed in June. SunRise Solar has been featured twice on ABC World News with Charles Gibson. Mr. Keith appeared LIVE on CNBC with Erin Burnett, and is a regular guest on many local television and radio shows, along with national print media, including the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. Bill Keith was interviewed by New York Times bestselling author Frank Luntz – his interview is currently being shown to focus groups.
